Code of Practice

A company code of practice (COP) is a set of guidelines and rules that reflect the ethical standards of your business. It serves to protect both you and your supplier by providing guidance on how to behave in certain situations. and can be used to improve standards and establish best practices and ensure compliance with ethical and legal obligations. Implementing a COP can help businesses improve performance and protect its reputation. Although codes of practice are not legally enforceable they are often adopted by manufacturers as part of their internal policies and procedures.  

Manufacturing industry's COP can establish guidelines and protocols that suppliers must adhere to during the production process. These may include machine inspections, testing requirements, sustainability factors and more.
